Village Volunteers offers the following services to full members, up to two hours per service and up to 25 hours per month:

directions_car_filled Transportation:

  • Medical appointments, including rehab, therapy sessions, testing
  • Veterinarian appointments (member accompanies volunteer)
  • Grocery shopping
  • Hairdresser / barber visits
  • Many other types of errands (member accompanies volunteer)

plumbing Home Maintenance:

  • Changing light bulbs
  • Checking smoke alarms
  • Installing screens and storm windows
  • Hanging pictures
  • Simple repairs
  • Plant care

home In-Home Support:

  • Household organization
  • Help with checkbooks
  • Labeling and organizing
  • Cleaning out the refrigerator

directions_car_filled Technology Help:

  • Programming cell phones, thermostats, and TV remotes
  • Setting up email
  • Performing simple computer tasks
  • Assisting with a wide range of electronic gadgets

home Friendly Calls & Visits:

  • Conversation and companionship
  • Respite for family caregivers
  • Sharing stories and memories
  • Playing games or doing puzzles
  • Phone calls to check on well-being, personal needs, or just to chat
