The Greater Lewes Community Village, now known as Village Volunteers, is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping older adults live independently as long as possible. The Village provides volunteer support, services such as transportation and errands.  In addition, we offer programs that enhance the lives of members by helping them remain active and engaged in a variety of social, educational and cultural activities.

We are a member of the VILLAGE TO VILLAGE Network of over 250 VILLAGES nationwide.

The Village Volunteers are always focused on the safety of members and volunteers.  With the Coronavirus we are taking additional steps including social distancing to minimize the spread of the virus.
The Village is in contact with state and local health officials.  We have shared our plan and received positive feedback.  We are providing regular communications to members and volunteers to ensure they have the information they need.
 - We continue providing transportation.
 - We are grocery shopping for members.
 - We are picking up prescriptions.
 - We are checking in on members via telephone.
