Biography
As a National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach, Steuart Martens is dedicated to helping men and women live their healthiest lives.
Through group workshops and one-on-one coaching, in person and online, he provides tools and knowledge to equip people to advocate for themselves as active participants in their healthcare. Classes and coaching sessions cover a broad spectrum of health-related subjects, including nutrition, home environment, physical activity, weight management, proper sleep, and stress management.
He has taught individual and private group courses in healthy eating, managing symptoms of Diabetes, and preventing dementia/Alzheimer’s. Valuable lessons include how to read food and ingredient labels, strategies and tools to sustain changes for healthy lifestyles, and helping clients reduce dependence on pharmaceuticals and opioids, when relevant.
As a Certified Lay Leader for the Delaware Department of Public Health, Martens facilitates classes on self-management of chronic conditions, chronic pain, and Diabetes.
Martens contributes to the community through his Board memberships with The Village Volunteers and the Rehoboth Beach Boys and Girls Club.
